LAI 600 and 500 Series High Security Cylinders are front loaded, which means that the back of the cylinder is part of the housing. It is not bolted on, so the lock mechanism cannot be punched through. And the front of the lock cylinder is made of hardened steel, so the lock is virtually drill proof as well. This model is also available with brass front for operators who wish a drillable cylinder. When inserted in the latch, the cylinder mounts completely flush.

Recessed screw holes and spacers allow the steel back plate to mount flush against the door, eliminating scratching when doors roll up. The flange on the left of the latch fits into the recessed part of your door to prevent thieves from prying up the latch.
DBCI, Roll-Right, Roll-A-Flex, Atlas Roli-Lite,WayneDalton(DSI), Equal Overhead, LAI's High Security Lock and Latch system fits them all. When you add in our ridge mount and flat door models, and the Retrofit models on page 12, you'll understand why we call this a "universal" system.
Unlike other self-storage
companies, LAI Group assembles its own cylinders in its own Southern California
facility. This insures that LAI will control all of the key codes it issues now
and in the future. We are totally committed to key control and our records go
back to the 1980's. Every cylinder for our high security systems is assembled
on a customer-to-customer basis and all key codes, whether keyed different,
keyed alike or masterkeyed, are recorded for key control and future reference.
Key management at the facility level is easy. LAI Group maintains all the
records on our computer system. As an option with our retail packaged system,
we encourage tenants to register their keycode directly with LAI. If they lose
or misplace their key they can order a replacement through your office. We'll
ship to your facility in a sealed package, and you can release it to an
authorized renter. You touch nothing, and you and renter are secure - no
drilling, no trips from a locksmith.
LAI's High Security Latch comes in two versions: Model S582X has a padlock hasp built in. Tenants can add their own padlock to provide an additional measure of security. Model S581X does not have that feature (you can overlock with a lockout plate if you choose).The LAI system gives you two choices of lock cylinder:
BS22Z, a tubular-keyed cylinder with an overlock
function. Your overlock key turns the cylinder 90 degrees and locks out the
unit. You cannot remove the cylinder or gain access to the unit.
B622Z, a high security key with over a million possible
key combinations and a masterkey function. This design allows you access to the
unit with your master key.
LAI has one major business. Locks and security hardware. We assemble our high security locks in our Southern California facility. Our other major markets are locks and security hardware for the vending, gaming, and coin-operated industries. We don't do boxes, or insurance or packing tape. We research, develop, manufacture and distribute locks and security products. That's our business, and our total focus with you. Compare our products to the competition.
