Lock America Fill Valve Lock Prevents Ammonia Theft and Tank Tampering

Building on the success of its unique propane Fill Valve lock and POLock, Lock America of Corona CA has developed a sealed fill valve lock for the NH3 market. With a pick-resistant keyway and a sealed locking cap, Lock America provides the device that experts like the University of Minnesota OSHA and The Ohio State University Food, Agricultural and Engineering Department call “the most effective and simple means to prevent theft”: an easy-to-use stainless steel lock. Lock America’s version, based on thirty years in the vending and gaming industry, and its recent successful entry into the propane industry, features a solid brass keyway sealed inside a stainless steel body. For added security, Lock America cuts and registers each key and key code exclusively for each customer.

Frank Minnella, CEO of Lock America, points out “The propane filler lock system locks out delinquent customers by preventing a pirate dealer from filling your tank, increasing supplier revenue and cash flow, and it deters theft and vandalism from professional and amateur crooks. We expect this product to provide the same benefits to the NH3 industry that its propane version does to that industry. Theft and tampering are an epidemic in this market, and we believe that with our continued effort in combating NH3 theft we can make a significant impact on illegal methamphetamine production. It’s a straightforward lock that works.”

Lock America will be selling direct and through a network of distributors.
